AM Mobile Telecom Private Limited was established in the year 1995 when India as a country was coming to terms with liberalization and Kolkata as a City witnessed the first Cellular service in the nation, a young Telecom engineering graduate from Pune University, Mr. Ajay Laddha, ventured AM Mobile.
It started working as one of the first Direct Sales Agent for the Kolkata GSM telecom circle licensee, Usha Martin Telekom Ltd, whose GSM services were being marketed under the brand name of “Command” Cell Phone Service. AM Mobile commanded high credentials in the market. Widely respected as a quality service provider firm, it established itself as the first choice in providing corporate solutions to Blue Chips and SMEs. AM Mobile came up with its first retail outlet as a company branded outlet Command Shop at Howrah in 1999.
AM Mobile opened their first Nokia Priority Dealer (NPD) and Nokia Care Centre(NCC) showrooms at South Kolkata in the locality of Tollygunge Phari in February 2003.New Retail outlet was added in May 2004 in Kolkatas Central Business District - Dalhousie at Bentick Streets with sales(NPD) and service(NCC) showrooms . The company had a long term vision and took a calculated risk of expanding out of Kolkata markets. It ventured into the fledgling district markets with the fastest growing industrial town of South Bengal, Durgapur. The regions first Mall - Dreamplex Mall, was the prime location for opening another NPD showroom in September 2005.
A quick succession followed with the opening of another NPD showroom at East Kolkatas retail and residential landmark Hiland Parks Metropolis Mall in November 2005.The ever popular retail destination of Kolkata- the Citi Centre Mall - was chosen to open the next retail showroom in February 2006. The chain of stores grew further with fresh additions in the year 2007 with 2 new NPD operations starting at Citi Centre Mall, Saltlake and at South Kolkatas fast developing and upcoming suburb of Baghajatin.
The New Year 2008 brightened further with North Bengals biggest city Silliguris operations starting at the only Mall of the region at Cosmos Mall in Feb 2008. The economic downturn notwithstanding, 2009 saw the big bang arrival of our state of the art, largest Nokia Care Centre showrooms of the Eastern India at the business hub of Princep Street in February 2009 and in November 2009 at Mudiali.The retail yatra is continuing with the launch of our 11th outlet at the prime retail high street of Asansol Galaxy Mall as a NPD showroom in September 10.

Mr JR Laddha, a commerce graduate with Diploma in Management, has founded the groups corporate financial services company under the banner of JR Laddha Financial Services (P) Ltd in 1980.The Company saw consistent and excellent growth and in a decades time a branch was opened in Mumbai. The comapany covers a wide gamut of services in the financial services space and boasts of major business houses like the TATAs, Birlas, Wadias, Godrej, RPG, Khaitans etc. amongst its client base. The excellent performance of the financial services sector and greater integration of the world economy has opened the door of opportunity wide and we envisage a bright future ahead.

Mr Sanjay Laddha is an honours graduate in Commerce stream from St Xaviers College, Calcutta. He was looking after financial services business in the group, before the group diversified into telecom retailing under the banner of A M Mobile. Mr Laddha is involved in the management of the company and envisions it to be amongst the top telecom retailers of the country.

Mr Ajay Laddha, a Electronics and Telecommunication Engineer from Pune University, founded AM Mobile on 31st July 1995. Mr Laddha could foresee the opportunity presented by the telecom industry in India and started the business the very same day on which mobile phone services were launched in India. He is looking after day-to-day management of the company and implements the blueprint for future growth.

Mr Ramesh Kumar Singh, a commerce graduate, has joined the company in 1996 as a sales trainee and slowly and steadily has risen through the ranks to head the sales division .He manages a team of 35 sales persons. A positive, go-getter who easily mixes and interacts with all layers of people, he keeps the sales team motivation levels on a high always.

Mr Indranil Chakraborty, MBA, has been working for last 6 years with the company. He has previously worked with IBM. He is managing the service and marketing division with 25 team members reporting to him. Mr Manoj Kela, a commerce graduate, is with the company for last 10 years. He had a wide experience of 15 years working in different industries before joining AM Mobile. A jovial, practical person knowing legal intricacies, he is managing the Human Resources, administration and legal department and managing a team of 8 people in the company.
